I am missing Sunday post. I tought, why not make an effort to post one today? So here is one from me on Anjali ji.
Guys and Gals, children of all ages (as long as you are not minor)
Since Anjali ji started this blog, I don't recall how I became a part of her virtual family. I loved her concept on sexual health and relationship, and knew this is required. Apart from her own team, possiblly I am one of those lucky outsiders who could interact with her the most. Anjali ji always thought of doing something out of the box, she tried number of conventional as well as new concepts and number of new ways. Whatever she tried, she tried with style, she did on her own, she did with her team and she did with members input. I can safely say, she knew what she was doing, why she was doing and how she was doing, we have reason to be proud that, together we have made AskAnjali.com as No. 1 Sexual Health and Relationship blog in India under her leadership.
I am writing this as my tribute to a great lady, Anjali ji. She always loved to do experiment with different features, adopt some, drop some, but two things she never compromised, one is it has to be a clean knowledge sharing site, and the other is there should not be a business made from this. Well point system is there, but points dont have a financial value. It was made out of people by the people with the help of the people who doesnot care about money, only feel the same way that Sexual Health is something important, we should ask question and get a reply.
There is our Technical Administrator who is responsible of all technical issues, though I am an outsider and not supposed to contact Tech Admin, still everytime asked for a help, Loka ji came out with open arm. These are the two person from the team, the rest one moderator, myself and eight editors, all are outsiders and they give their time because we love the concept. You can assume one thing, how many sites are there where only one person is the face of the blog and left most of the authoriity to 9 unknown people? That is trust. As I say, unless you respect others, you dont get respect, this trust to others is a form of respect.
We all are netsurfers, we know there are Admins and there are members. The members can participate after due editing, members can get to see their post. Possibly this is one unique site where all nine members are outsiders and they help without expecting any financial return, still members can get to see their post as soon as they post without editing. Anjali ji is trusting on the members, its the members responsibility to respect that fact and help clean the site by posting good question and reply to help one another.
If I had a blog, I would not give nine outsiders enormous authority to be a part of Editorial team and run as people's blog. How many Anjali ji are there who believe members so blindly? She has done, and its working, soon we may find other people follow AskAnjali.com concept of adding members on Editorial team too.
None is making money out of this, still the time we give for asking question and helping others by replying to help without any expectation, that always is amusing, how caring we all are about others. Our time is important to us, still giving that time to unknown people shows we care for others.
We went though number of hiccups, version change, attributes add and delete, spam, abusive users, banning users, not able to give proper time, still the blog kept on going. That says all, it is the members site, members wanted the site to roll, and it did. With Anjali ji there, everything is possible.
Its very hard to write about Anjali ji in short time, if I get another opportunity, will add some more later.
