Members please have some respect to other members

Question

We have a feature called private mail. Some people are misusing that for other purpose. This is not a hooker picking site, would request to use the Private mail in constructive purpose. 

One female member sent a mail to me. She has a specific complain that a new user sent her a mail on private mail "May i have sex with you:) it will be my first time."  

The user who joined the site and sent a mail like this, I dont know what to be done. If people cant respect others, should not stay here. Seeing a female name if people hops in as a member start writing obscene proposal and come back with an excuse, I am a new user, that not acceptable.

Thanks for coming up with this, however in our present AA verison we have a feature in which we can block all members from sending private message to others. 

I think I should acitvate this and whats your opinion on this?

It will be waste of time issuing warning to those users who do such mistakes.

OMG! How desperate can people get?? Jus coz they dont have the guts to face a girl and ask her for sex in person, they come here n send private msgs?? Lol some people are interesting to watch..
Anjali ji, better do that.. And let that be a first warning when the private msg option is blocked.. Some people deserve it..

yes dude 'many' doesn't have guts to ask for a fuck to decent gals upright. and we fall under this category. Hence they send such private mails.

Dear Anjali,
                   by blocking private msgs we r gonna stop communication between all the members.some members do useful mailing also.in this way they will also suffer.
instead we can opt for two other options.
first that member who starts recieving such offencive emails must block his/her email from recieving mails /messages from forum directly. that they can do themselves.plus they can also lodge a complaint with admin or editors.
secondly a warning can be issued first handto offender and then he/she must be blocked from site.
i know that its a time taking process but it will not harm any innocents interests.
rest you are administrator and your decision is final.lets see what other members have there inputs abt this problem.after discussion a wise decision can be taken.

Anjali ji, private mail is a good and effective feature, I would request to keep it on. The reason I brought this forward is, I dont prefer our members to feel disturbed. Maybe a lot of friendship request or explicit request are sent, and few lady members just kept quite thinking it always happen, one more is no issue. For a new user making a nuisense, everyone shouldnot suffer. Members can turn off own option too. There shouldnot be one more even, I thought of brimg to public so others misusing can understand there name will come in public too.

Remember--There are a very few Female Members on this site.And If this site is only for the Guys then no matter what they ask & what they replied.But If The members wanted that they have a healthy discussion with an opposite sex then it is possible only when they both respect each other.So Respect the Female Member if she shows the courage to participate with You.

Such type of nuisance are beyond the limit as May be The msg you are sending to a woman is your own Mom Who is HERE in the disguise of some others name.

anjali, instead of blocking the feature to all users, it will be better to implement 'on' or 'off' features for everyone. If someone  wants to block the private mail option they can by opting for 'off'.

Private mail is an important feature for communication among members..
But it should be utilised in a decent manner..
My opinion is private mail should not be disabled for some shameless members who are utilising it in a bad manner, rather they should be given warning and in extreme case they should be banned..

Dear all,

I will keep the Private Message Option ON , but  unfortunately in this verison of AA we dont have a option in which members can On or Off to receive private message from others.

I was checking from profile, one can edit his/her choice if want a private message or not. If anyone doesnot want, fair enough.

The situation wasn't out of control, I specifically copy pasted this particular case so that other probable offender will get cautious. Also for the female users, if they are being irritated, its not the right approach to keep quite, time to speak up. They can inform the Editors and myself, if we fail, they should be able to raise her voice reach to you.

I did not look into that, but nice to know that you have found it. I think it will be perfect time to make a announcement to members that they can OFF the private message option if they wish not to receive private message from other members.

Anjali mam it will be good to announce, many may not be aware of this option. If they don't want to receive any private msg let them turn off the option.
