A VERY HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY to respected anjali aunti and all aaa members.

Hey anjali aunty how are you. Happy republic day.

Dear anjali aunty i am a member of aaa forum since 3 months and i am a 23 year male. Madam you are doing great and this aaa forum is helping needy persons like us, its a grate, this forum is unique in that sense, helping a real needy people in real need of guidance.

Anjaliji you might have noticed that now a days we are getting an increas in number of timepass, funtype questions being asked. Out of 10 either 5 or 6 are timepass question, rest may genuine problem. Cause of this types question, real sufferers get affected. And also these types question impose a negative impression on new visitors, some already members. Its hempering the noble cause of this forum.

Anjali aunty i just want to give a suggestion, i know that i am no one to suggest you, but i like this forum and your nobel work, so if my suggestion can help in any manner to this forum, i will be pleased. cause i have got a good help from here everytime, so i want to give something to this forum in the form a little suggestion.

Anjali aunty cant you create a some system that will get rid off time pass users. Like if SOMEONE HAS POSTED A TIMEPASS QUESTION, AND IF USERS FEEL THAT ITS A TIMEPASS QUESTIONS, USERS WILL FLAG IT. AND UPON GETTING A CERTAIN FLAG THAT QUESTION WILL BE BLOCKED, AND THAT USES WILL BE BANED EITHER FOR A CERTAIN PERION LIKE 1 MONTH OR 2 OR A PERMENENTALY. Can this type of rule be created dear anjaliji. It will discourage those users and will also help in keeping this site clean and neet, free from germs, (germs=non sense users like manuni).

Please if i am wrong ingore me. Its just my view, my suggestion.

All users please put your opinion.

Thanks anjaliji, thank you all. JAY HIND. VANDE MATARAM. HAPPY REPUBLIC  DAY  to all once again. HAVE A BLAZING REPUBLIC DAY.

Question is for Anjali ji, but as I am awake I am replying here.  Your view is right, but there are two basic reason not to take a hard stance.

First is, Internet Citizen or Netizen are huge its not always ossible to track down. Second reason is, the site encourage users to come forward and talk openly. Out of 20000 members I guess only 25 members are bannedtill now. That shows the respect that we dont want to keep people's mouth shut.

I like your idea of red flag issue. But from the very begining people are making mistake on understanding the purpose. Red flags are for inappropriate question/reply or spam. But people running on facebook, they often use a red flag as a good posting. When on the left hand side up and down votes are mentioned, why people give a red flag for a good post I dont understand. But possiblly this is doable, if there is more than 3 red flags, a poster can be vlocked for a month. For five flags can be blocked for 2 moths. For 10 flags for a year. As a concept its good, but if anyone is vindictive and want to ake a mess, they can use it in wrong way.

dear oye brother thanks for reply. This quest is for all. To do something for the sake of AAA.

As there is a up vote and down vote for good que or answer, and flag for inaproprite, can a new feature like that whatever name it will be given, something named like STOP or anything like that be created?

And to prevent mess a rule can be created by administrtor. Here are my suggestion 2 choices.

1) a one user can use that stop feature only once in one question. And also some criteria can be kept there like 1 month or 2 month  or 15 days older users or whtever administrator feel right, that much older users only can use that feauter, so those nonsense mamunies by creating a new id can not creat a mess using that feature.

2) or either administrator teams can make a team of 10 or 20 member  whom they trust, and give them power to use that feature to vote if they feel that its fun question, they use that feature and giue their vote and if 5 recieved ban that user. By giving power to these 10 or 20 members those mamunies wan't be able to create mess up.

What do you say oye brother. You are a core member of AAA. And ur opinion is most valuable.

The more rules and regulations, the more limitations!!

Why not let AA evolve with very minimum set of rules and regulations!! This way,the site will get a shape of its own!!

Curio your suggestion is good but practically I think its impossible. As an editor when ever I see a question, which i feel like time pass question/crap i used to mark it and leave it for moderator to delete it. If he also feel the same he will delete it or else retain the question with some change or as such. So i dont think that nowadays so many crap questions can be seen on board. With krish and dan as new editors they are also doing the same. Then some questions may look simple or crap but it may be the real problem of the questioner, which may not be a problem for US as we are well aware of that matter. So we dont want to discourage the new members from asking questions and we canot always expect some good and sensitive questions from a teen aged new member. hope you will get this.

curioz , thanks for the innovative thinking. But as elitely said more strict rules means more limitations and inturn it may make AA website complex. Why can't v leave this site it as it is as mamuni's r hardly 25 out of 20000.

my purpose of stating above point is bcos, more the website is userfriendly more users can participate, share and contribute.

Also its important to see to it that a common man with limited technical knowledge can use this site easily.

What you are talking about are thought by the Admin before. When there is a Red flag, Admin can see that separately. But I am not a big fan of banning people unless someone spoils the site or gives bad suggestion to other people. I would love to see people asking good questions, people replying good answers.

There are not many Mamunis these days, I feel happy when the ratio of bed reply  decreases. There can be wrong reply for not knowing the answer, but intentional bad replies are much less these days.

Creat a pool of 10-20 adjutant is a problem, managing part is not the problem, but everyone is not on same view on each issue. Some will vote some will veto. I feel the current set up is still okay where Three editors can propose anything they want, and most cases admin or myself step in to help on that.

We are giving too much importance to a single person, I can suggest number of things, but can you say Mamuni is still not there with some other name, right now?

Dear curio,

Thanks for coming up with this discussion. Managing and cleaning AskAnjali is not a easy stuff and without the help of Oye, Pussycat and other editors it will be hectic for me.

In our previous version of AA, we had a feature in which all the questions posted go under moderation before they come live, but I got rid of this feature thinking that people asking Sexual questions will be in a hurry to know the solutions to their question and keeping them wait is a bad idea.

However we can't come with up a system which can block TIME PASS questions, but I am thinking to give editor access to more number of trusted users so that they can block the irrelevant questions and answers right away.

If you are interested i can give you the editor access, in this way you can help AA to be clean and neat.
